Over the past years i have owned many great free forums. The number one free forum on my list is Forummotion. Why ? Forummotion is really good with SEO and Search Engines index them with no problem! This is the best kind of site for anyone that is creating a website for the first time. Forummotion has some of the best mods and themes. They have really good support forums you get almost instant help after posting your problem. Forummotion gives you the chance to win prizes, forummotion points, and even a free domain if your site is active enough.
Mybb
Mybb is a powerful open source forum used by many webmasters! mybb gives you almost complete control over your site allowing you to have any type of content on your free forum (They allow you to have porn, hacks lol you know the bad stuff ). Mybb has a huge variety of mods & plugins that are very simple to use and install. The support forums are not the best they give good help sometimes. Vbulletin Fan? Mybb has the look and feel of a vbulletin powered forum! ( mybb rocks!!). I want to warn you about mybb though! people love to spam mybb! they join your forum and post things that has nothen to do with your forum. Overall mybb is a great forum software.
Phpbb
Phpbb is one of the oldest forums! They have outstanding plugins! once you use phpbb you will fall in love! they are good with search engines and very easy to use and install! the support forums are very active with alot of people willing to help you at anytime. They dont have a wide variety of cool themes to choose from but they do have awsome plugins!
